1. Opening Prayer - back to outline

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. Al-hamdu lillah. In sha 'allah, ma sha 'allah. Tawakkal-Allah. Allahumma labbaik.

In the name of God, Most Merciful, Most Compassionate. All praise and praising belong to God and to God alone. If God so wills, whatever God wills. I place my trust in God, and in God alone, and am obedient to His will, and His will alone.

May all responsibility be given to Allah, the One who is limitless grace, and incomparable love, the One who gives us His blessings.

2.  The Path To Hell And The Suffering of The Grave - back to outline

My dearest loving sisters Aziza, in this way, His Holiness teaches us that our life of separation and differences, our life of selfishness, of "mine" and "yours", will lead us to hell, will take us to the suffering of the grave, and to a life that is eternally separate from God, separate from each other, and separate from the creations of God.

3.  The Enemy of The Soul - back to outline

In this way, we must realize, understand, accept, and join with the truth that our very own life, the life that we have spent our whole life growing and bringing to maturity, the life that now defines us as a separate, responsible, capable, person, this life which in truth is the enemy of our soul, the enemy of God, the enemy of wisdom, the enemy of the life and teaching of His Holiness, this life of ours, is the very thing that grows, nourishes, and maintains our separation from God, our separation from each other, and our separation from the creations of God. 

In this way, it is the very thing what defines us, and that defines the world around us, that keeps us living a life of separation and differences.  It is the very thing that now defines "who we are", "where we are", "what the world is", and "what is happening in the world", that keeps us separate from God, separate from each other, and separate from the creations of God.

4. The Enormity of The Problem That We Face - back to outline

My dearest loving sister Aziza, we must realize that this is the enormity of the problem that we all face, which is our separation from God, our separation from each other, and our separation from all of the creations of God that God has personally and lovingly placed within each of us.

This is what we must realize, without the slightest doubt, in order for us to understand the Sirr or Secret of God within us, which is the essence of God's creations within us, through the Sifat of God within us, which is the form of the creations of God within us, and through that understanding to rule them, as the Dhat of God, which is the essence of God's grace, as the Rahmatul Alameen, as the Ruler of the 18,000 universes within us, and through that ruling to harvest them, to destroy them, revealing man within the creations of God, revealing True man within man, revealing God within True Man, and in this way, revealing the oneness of man and God.

My dearest loving sister Aziza, this is the problem that we must try to deal with in partnership with God, our separation from the life and teaching of God for this age, and this is the problem that we must try to deal with in partnership with His Holiness, our separation from His Holiness, our separation from the life and teaching of His Holiness, which is the life and teaching of God for this age.

This must be our focus, with our every breath, look, thought, intention, and action, not what we think we are seeing and understanding in the world around us, not what we think and see as the actions of the people and groups around us, not what we think are the good actions of the good people around us, and not what we think are the bad actions of the bad people us, because all that we see is a dream and all that we understand is false. 

This is the real problem in our life, and in all life, which is separation from God, separation from each other, and separation from the creations of God within us.  This is the real problem in our life, not what we do in separation from God, not what we do as separate from our brothers and sisters, or as separate from the creations of God within us.  This is the real problem in the life of the people and groups around us, not what they do in separation from God, from each other, or from the creations of God within them.

We must realize this truth without the slightest doubt.  We must realize that this is the only problem that we or anyone has.  We must realize that this huge problem, this problem that is so large that we fail to ever see it most of the time, this problem of  "consciousness", this huge problem of the "state of our consciousness", this problem of our state of "separation from", is the true enemy of our soul.

It is this enemy of our soul within us, this state of consciousness within us, this state of "separation from" within us, that separates us from God, that separates us from each other, that separates us from all of the creations of God within us.

And it is this same enemy of our soul within us , this same state of consciousness within us, this same state of "separation from" within us, that nourishes and maintains these separations and differences within us, keeping them strong until we physically die, defending them, defending "us", from any attack that might weaken or destroy them, that might weaken "us", from any attack by God, by truth, by wisdom, by the grace of God, by the 'ilm or divine knowledge of God. 

It is this same enemy of our soul within us that will defend them, that will defend the lives of separation and differences within us, the lives of selfishness within us, that live in the 9 openings of our illusory body, that will defend "us", from any attacks by His Holiness, from any attack by the life and teaching of His Holiness, by the life and teaching of God for this age, that will defend "us" from any attack by the lives of faith, purity, and truth within us, by any attack by the 124,000 prophets of God within us.

We must understand this, my loving sister Aziza, we must understand that in our ignorance we have grown and joining with, we have become one with, we have joined in partnership with, the very thing that is the enemy of God within us, the enemy of truth within us, the enemy of our soul within us, the enemy of wisdom within us, the enemy of the truth and justice of God within us, the enemy of the 99 wilayats or powers or attributes of God within us, the enemy of the 3000 gracious qualities of God within us. 

This is what we have done in our ignorance of "who we are", of "who God is", and of "the true relationship between man and God."  This is what we have done, and if we don't undo this, if we don't correct this problem, we will be very sorry, we will be sorry forever, for eternity.

5.  We Must Become The Iman of The Kalimah To Follow Muhammad (Sal.)

For as His Holiness teaches us in, "The Kalimah Song", that "If you don't become the
Iman
of Kalimah then you cannot follow the Causal Muhammad.  You will have to stand alone and cry."

In this context, the Iman of Kalimah is the form of the Kalimah, which is 25 of the 28 letters of man, and the Causal Muhammad is the life of God within us, the Triple Flame of God within us - Ya Allah, Ya Rasul, Ya Muhaiyaddeen - the life of the soul joined with the life of wisdom within us, in a state of propriety mingled with the Nur, which is the Causal Muhaiyaddeen within us, the life of the Qutb within us, the life of Qutb, Muhaiyaddeen Abdul-Qadir al-Jilani [may God be pleased with Him] with us, the life of His Holiness within us.

6. The Nature of The Life of Darkness Within Us - back to outline

My dearest loving sister Aziza, we must understand the nature of the life of darkness within us, we must understand how it is always working to defend our illusory body, and the lives of darkness that live within our illusory body, within the 9 illusory openings of our illusory body, to defend its children, to defend "us" from destruction, to defend "us" from God, to defend the "us" of separation and differences from God within us, from all of the things of God that God has placed within us, from all of the things of God within us that are of God.

To defend "us", to defend the "us" of separation and differences within us, from the oneness of God within us, which is the maturity of the Triple Flame of God within us, which is the Qutb of God within us, which is God, our soul, and the goodness of God within us joined together as one.

To defend "us", to defend the "us" of separation and differences within us, from God within us, from all that God has personally and loving placed with each of His Children for this age, that God has placed within each of us, in order to protect, nourish, and bring to maturity the life of our soul, the life of wisdom, and the life of 'ilm or divine knowledge within us.

7. The Life of The Triple Flame of God Within Us - back to outline

My dearest loving sister Aziza, we must realize without the slightest doubt, that what God placed within us is the life of the Triple Flame of God within us - Ya Allah, Ya Rasul, Ya Muhaiyaddeen, which is the life and teaching of His Holiness within us, which in maturity is Muhammad (Sal.) within us as the 124,000 prophets of God within us, as the crown of God's grace that is place on the head of Adam (A.S.) within us, is Adam (A.S.) within us as the Holy Qur'an within us, as the innermost heart or Qalb of Allah within us, and is True Man within us as the seven levels of wisdom within us, the seven diacritical marks within us, that give sound to the Holy Qur'an within us, as the Resonance of Allah within us, for the benefit of all of the creations of God within the 18,000 universes, within man and within God and within God and within man.

Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen.  Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen.  Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen.  Al-hamdu lillah.  Allahu Akbar.

8.  The State of Iman-Islam Within Us - back to outline

We must realize, without the slightest doubt, that the life and teaching of His Holiness is what God has given us, that God has given to all of His Children for this age, that God has personally and lovingly placed within each of our hearts, to bring to maturity the Triple Flame of God within us, the Triple Flame of God that God has placed within each of us, when God created Adam (A.S.) within us, when God placed the Nur Muhammad on the forehead of Adam (A.S) within us, as the life and teaching of His Holiness within us, which, if we but realize, understand, accept, and join with the life and teaching of His Holiness within us, will awaken the Nur Muhammad within us, which is the seed of True Man within us, the seed of Iman within us, opening the eye of wisdom within us, the eye of the Nur Muhammad within us, destroying birth and death within us, revealing True Man within us, revealing the state of iman within us, and in maturity transform the Nur Muhammad within us into Allah Muhammad within us, which is the seed of God, the seed of Islam within us, revealing God within True Man within us, and in this way, revealing the oneness of True Man and God, revealing True Man within us in the state of Iman-Islam within us.

9. The Dangerous Nature of The Life of Darkness Within Us - back to outline

His Holiness beautifully explains this "dangerous nature" of the life of darkness within us, in the book, "The Pearl of Wisdom or Guru Mani".

His Holiness explains in this book the "dangerous nature" of the life of darkness with us, the life of darkness within us which in our ignorance has grown within us, covering our soul. 

His Holiness explains how this life of darkness within us is constantly trying to protect "us" from God, from what it perceives as "danger" to the "body" by employing "tricks", but in truth it is really trying to protect the "us" of separation and differences within us, from the things of God within us, from the things of God within us that would destroy the body and life of separation and differences within us, and in this way, to protect "us" from the life and teaching of His Holiness that God has placed within us, from the wisdom of God within us, which in truth is the life of His Holiness within us, and from the original pure heart within us, which in truth is the teaching of His Holiness within us.

In this way, His Holiness teaches us that the nature of the life of darkness within us is to protect us from destruction, to protect "us" as separate from God from destruction, to protect "us" as separate from each other from destruction, and to protect "us" as separate from the creations of God within us from destruction, to protect "us", as the lives of separation and differences within us, from the wisdom that surrounds our soul, from the wisdom of God within us that can liberate our soul from the lives of darkness, from "us" as the lives of separation and differences, that have crucified it, allow our soul joined with our wisdom, allowing us joined in partnership with His Holiness, to find and merge with the Nur, the light of wisdom within us, and in this way, make our life into an eternal life, transforming our temporary physical life into an eternal light life, and in maturity transforming the Triple Flame of God within us back into the Oneness of God within us, revealing the state of Man-God/God-Man within us, the state of Allahu Ill Allahu within us, the state of true prayer within us, the prayer of the One to the One who Is within us.

10. The Body, The Trick, And The Danger or Earth, Woman, And Gold

His Holiness explains this beautifully when He teaches us in Chapter 20, about "Body, Trick, and Danger", on page 71, of this wonderful new book.

"O my son, the body, the trick (thanthric device), and danger - are three knowledges.

They protect the single body in whatever way the body should be protected.  They do so with great care and planning.  They consider the body as indestructible.

These trickish characters lock the spring.  They look with pride upon the world, fame, children, lust, sex, beauty, enhancement of looks, dance and music.

These thantric devices (tricks) block the spring, block the breath, sing songs, search the jungles, and develop the house of the body.

The tricky character is carefully employed to acquire things, accumulate, and keep them.  They call it bliss and think it is so. 

Next is the knowledge of danger to the house of the body.  The knowledge of the thanthric devices (tricks) searches through cunning, tricks, black magic, deceit, possessiveness (Mamakaram), arrogance, keeping something inside, another outside, one in the heart, another on the lips, with falsehood, backbiting, one in the eye, another in the mind, and with many kinds of dancing, singing, and saying "Ah" with sickness and disease.

God's angry glance falls on such a dangerous person.  He wanders about having lost everything, including the two characters (body and trick), and all that had been acquired.

He realizes it is time to know God, and to know Him only through wisdom within wisdom. He unsteadily calls out to his father, to his mother, to his relatives, and to God, mentioning their names at random.  He finally recalls the danger and yells, "Ah".

The three characters - body, the trick, and danger - give birth to maya and tricks.  Having accumulated dangerous things through deception, they leave them behind, shouting repeatedly in an alarming voice, "Wife, child, husband, man, woman."

They leave behind all the things they had collected on earth saying,

          "No good.  There is nothing in this world.  My life did not experience any
          good.  Here is danger!  There is danger!  There is danger everywhere!"

With such a noise will be his end.

Did you listen, O disciples, gems of my eyes, to the fearful wonders acquired by these three characters? 

Know this.  Their names are land, woman, and gold.  These are the three characters.  There are yet several other meanings.  Learn about the mystery of danger with a little keenness. 

O disciples, gems of my eyes, these are not simple matters.  Divine them into particle by particle, and realize it in an incisive manner. 

Everyone says that the desire for land, woman, and gold is evil.  It is very easy to say this, but very difficult to avoid them.

Know this.  Look for a mature guru, and if you perform your duty with complete grace, and obey Him, you will be able to get rid of danger, O disciples, gems of my eyes."

My dearest loving sister Aziza, this must be our focus, this enemy within, this enemy of our soul, this enemy of God, of wisdom, and of all that is really good, that is really true, not simply the injustice that we may personally see acted out in the world around us, the injustice that we perceive as existing "outside" of "us", or the injustice that we may read about or see projected on the television screen, an injustice that we are told is allegedly performed by one group of people toward another group of people in some distant land, an alleged injustice occurring between two groups of people neither of whom we really know anything about, all occurring in a place that we don't really know anything about.

In this way, my dearest loving sister Aziza, we must be very careful not to get pulled into something that in truth may not have happened at all, may be happening but not at all the way it is being shown to us, and even if it is happening exactly the way it is shown, that we don't yet have the wisdom or clarity or nearness to God to properly understand, all the while being distracted from the only real work in our life that will be of any benefit to any of us, or to anyone else who has been born with us, the work of understanding and correcting ourselves, the work of finding and joining with a True Man in the world to discover what is hidden within each of us, to become a True Man, to become the True Man within the True Man, the work of finding and joining with God to become one with God, to become God within God. 

Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen.  Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen.  Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen.  Al-hamdu lillah.  Allahu Akbar.

My dearest loving sister Aziza, we must be very careful how we spent our time, because our time in this world is very short.  In the allotted time that God has given us we must try and fix ourselves, correct within ourselves what is preventing us from completing what we came here to complete within ourselves, what is preventing us from learning what we came here to learn within ourselves, not try to fix the illusory things that we see as "outside" of us, thinking that this "outside" work will make us acceptable to God, thinking that these things that we do "outside" of us, whether it be duties, prayers, or acts of goodness, or acts of charity and fasting, or even a pilgrimage to distant lands, will some how earn us a place in heaven, a place near to God.

For as His Holiness teaches us,

          "Don't work for wages in order to get into heaven, you will be very disappointed.
           Instead, join in partnership with God".

What we see "outside" of us is not what it appears to be, is not what is happening, while what we don't presently see "inside" of us, is where everything is happening, and is where our salvation lives.  To make this shift, from living "outside" to living "inside" is wisdom, is the gift of the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him),

In this way, may we both learn to live in the world, but not keep the things of the world within us, may we both learn to sit on the lap of His Holiness, and let Him conduct our lives, not us.  This is living in the presence of God.  Then the world will no longer be a big thing for us.  Then the world "outside" of us will shrink, and truly become a tiny thing, and the world "inside" of us will become the true mystery dominant with grace, and the vast sea of sorrow  within us will disappear, all of the sorrows of our birth will be removed.

For as His Holiness teaches about the true nature of the world that we see as "outside" of us, "It is all false, it is all wrong, it is all over.  What's next?"

This is where we must always stand.  This is where we must always start and end everything, that only God is good and only God has justice, that there is "nothing but God", and that our only salvation is to destroy the state of consciousness that has overwhelmed us, the state of consciousness that shows us "something other than God", that shows us a life of separation and differences living in the world that we see "outside" of us, a state of consciousness of "separation from", that makes us see both good and bad people, both people of justice and people of injustice, all living "outside" of us.

And in this way, this enemy of our soul within us, tries to make us live our life by differentiating between the people that we see on the "outside" of us, rather that embracing everything that we see "outside" of us, as merely a school, as merely a lesson from God, a lesson that we can only learn in partnership with God, not alone, a lesson what God has placed before us in that moment, allowing us to hand it all back to God in the next moment, praising Him for both its coming and going, letting Him deal with it, letting Him use it to move Himself forward within us, to reveal Himself within Himself.

Because this, and only this, is what God is doing within us, within all of us, which is to reveal the Oneness of God, by revealing God within True Man, by revealing True Man within man, by revealing man within the creations of God within the 18,000 universes within us, for the benefit of all of the creations of God in the 18,000 universes, within man within God and within God within man. 

Amen, Amen, Ya Rabil Alameen.  Amen, Amen, Ya Rahman Alameen.  Amen, Amen, Ya Rahim Alameen.  Al-hamdu lillah.  Allahu Akbar.

This is why we go to war on the "outside", because of the enemy within us, the enemy of our soul, that keeps us uselessly fighting on the "outside" of us, so we won't join with God within us, by joining with His Holiness within us, to fight against the enemy of our soul within us, on the "inside" of us.

This is why September 11th happened, and this is why what we are now seeing in Afghanistan is happening, and will continue to happen, and this is why what is happening there will move from Afghanistan to some other place, and then to some other place, until we find through science some new scientific breakthrough that will completely destroy us. 

For as His Holiness teaches us.

          "The end result of science is destruction".

This is the enemy of our life, the enemy of our soul, this is the enemy of God within us, our current state of consciousness, our state of "separation from" rather than "one with", this is the true enemy within, not what "we" see "outside" of us, and this must be our focus, this state of consciousness that has taken over our heart and soul, this is the enemy of our life, of all life, not our brothers and sisters living on the "outside" of us.

This is the enemy "within us", the enemy that has transformed the open heart of the little child into the closed heart of the adult, that has closed down within each of us the heart of purity that is one with God and one with all of the creations of God in the 18,000 universes within us, that has closed down within each of us the open heart within us that sees God within itself as itself, and seeing all of God's creations within itself as itself.

This is the enemy of the soul, the enemy of God, which transforms this open heart of the little child, which still exists within each of us, into the closed heart of the adult, into the heart of impurity that separates itself from God, and sees all of the creations of God as "outside" of itself, and starts to pass judgement on all that is "outside" of itself, defending itself from harm and embracing with selfish love those of a similar kind or nature, those of a similar belief or race, dividing itself into races, religions, males and females, families, and castes, going to war or showing hostility or at least feeling different from those of a different age, race, religion, sex, family, country, background, training, education, language, or caste.

This is the enemy "within us" that has covered our soul life, our Light Life, with a collection of elemental lives, with lives of darkness, and as a result, is literally crucifying our soul, our life of purity, which is the life of God within us, is literally crucifying Jesus (A.S.) within us on the cross of our elemental body, so that "we" can sin, so that "we", as this collection of elemental lives living within us, living within the 9 openings of our elemental body, can look at the illusory world that "we" see as "outside" of us, can look at other people as separate from us on the "outside" of us, and love them or judge them, become one with them or eat them, help them or destroy them, join them or separate from them - it is all the same.

And in this way keep us separate from God within us, keep us separate from the 124,000 prophets of God within us, keep us separate from the True Teacher or Shaikh within us, and keep us separate from all the creations of God in the 18,000 universes within us, keep us separate from all of the things of God, which God has loving and personally placed within us, to complete His intention within us, which is to reveal Himself within us, to revealing Himself within Himself, for the benefit of all of the creations of God within the 18,000 universes within us.

And God's intention within us is to liberate our soul from the lives of darkness that have overwhelmed us, returning us to the original life of purity that He gave us, to our Light Life, bringing us to the state of Divine Luminous Wisdom, to the state of the Seven Levels of Wisdom, the seven diacritical marks, that give sound to the Holy Qur'an within us, which is our innermost heart or Qalb, that give sound to the life and teaching of His Holiness as the true Resonance of Allah within each of us.

God's intention within us is to transform our impure heart back into the original  pure heart which is Adam (A.S.), which is Adam (A.S.) before the fall of Adam (A.S.), but this time with an understanding of that fall, to transform our impure heart back into the original house of our soul, the palace of our soul, and then opening that pure heart, to open Adam (A.S.), to reveal True Man within it, to reveal within it the innermost heart, the Qalb of True Man, revealing the Holy Qur'an, the living Qur'an within us, in order to complete what God has started within each of us, which is to reveal God within God within us.

In this way, my dearest loving sister Aziza, to be good, to be just, we must first become one with God, and then in this state of "oneness with" everything, which is the state of God, we will automatically reflect the goodness and justice of God to others.  But for this to occur within us, we must give up the idea of "ourselves" and of "others" as separate from God, we must give up these "ideas of separation" that separate us from God, from each other, and from all of the creations of God in the 18,000 universes within us.

Only then, as one with God, as one with each other, as one with all of God's creations, can we do God's work.  Only then, reflecting the goodness and justice of God from within us, will we be good or show justice to others. 

In this way, God is our goodness and our justice, which can be reflected from our Purified heart when our faith becomes Perfect and our heart becomes Pure.  But as long as we stay separate from God, separate from each other, and separate from the creations of God within us, we have no goodness, we have no justice.  In this state of selfishness, in this state of separation and differences, all that we have is selfishness, all that we have is separation and differences, all that we have is evil, falsehood, and injustice.

For as His Holiness teaches us, "A man can only give what he has".  If we have God, if we have become One with God, and one with all that God is one with, then we have goodness, truth, and justice.  But if we don't have God, if we are separate from God and separate from all that God is one with, then all that we have is separation and differences, all that we have is evil, falsehood, and injustice, which is the opposite of God, which is the opposite of goodness, truth, and justice.

If we do pursue this illusory goal of our own personal goodness, truth, or justice, or the goodness, truth, and justice of others, then we will fail to reach our true potential, which is the oneness of God and man, and when we die, all that we will receive of what God has given us, of what God has placed within us, is the illusory experience of our own personal goodness, truth, and justice, which in truth is hell, not the goodness, truth, and justice of God, which In truth is heaven. 

In this way, our goal must be God, must be us as one with God, must be others as one with God, not us as better people, or others as better people, but separate from God.  In this way we must become indistinguishable from God to others, we must be God to others, and having joined with God to separate from us all that separates us from God, from each other, and from the creations of God within us, then "our presence" become "God's presence", our presence as separate from God is no more, and "God presence" is all that is within us, is all that we have, and is all that we can and do give to others. 

Then we will be good.  Then our life will be a life of truth.  Then we will act with justice.  But we will never be good, truthful, or act with justice as long as we are separate from God, separate from each other, or separate from the creations of God within us.  We will never be the things of God as long as this enemy of our soul, this enemy of wisdom, this enemy of God, is victorious within us, never as long as this state of "separate from" rather than "one with", this state of separate from anyone or anything, is our state of consciousness.

In this way, our focus on the injustice in the world is the wrong focus, because it only maintains our separation from God, our separation from others, and our separation from the creations of God within the 18,000 universes within us.

In this way, this wrong focus, this focus on the injustice of others living in the world that we see as "outside" of us, rather than on the injustice within ourselves, the true injustice being performed within us with each look, each sound, each smell, each taste, each touch, each though and intention within us, with each quality and action within us, that is direct unknowingly within us on all of the lives within us, by the enemy of our soul within us, merely perpetuates the very injustice that we are seeking to remove, because in truth "injustice" is just another word for "separation", separation from God, separation from each other, and separation from all of the creations of God within us.
